As the electricity which is supplied to the homes ,industries,etc is cheaper than that of the fuels like petrol,diesel,kerosene etc.The irrigation pumps,motors are used which run on the electricity for irrigation purpose.They are easier means to water the fields and which in turn increases the productivity of various crops .The good production of the crops contributes in the economic growth of the country.
