Solution

Genetic code:

  1. It is a set of rules that our cell uses for the translation of genetic information into proteins.
  2. It is a combination of three-letter, depicting three different or same nucleotides.
  3. These are also called codons.
  4. Each of the codons correlates to particular amino acids or some stop signals.
  5. Each triplet of a genetic code, codes for different genetic information that includes features such as eye color, hair color, height, etc.
  6. Example of genetic code: AUG (adenine, uracil, guanine) codes for the amino acid methionine, CUG (cytosine, uracil, guanine) along with five more codons codes for leucine amino acid.
