Question

how does more hydrogen ion concentration in a solution says its is more acidic

Open in App
Solution

Dear student There is a direct relation between hydrogen ion concentration of an aqueous solution and its pH. The formula will be: pH = -log [H+] pH is the negative logarithm of the H+ concentration, so the higher the H+ concentration, the lower will be the pH and lower the pH means more acidic is the solution. A solution with pH =1 is most acidic compared to solutions with any other value of pH. Regards
