  3. A noise level above 100 dB is unpleasant to the ears and is detrimental to human health.
  4. Constant exposure to noise can cause hearing loss, mental disturbance, palpitations of the heart, and a whole lot of neural problems.
  5. We must safeguard our health from the ill effects of noise pollution.

The following are the ways in which noise pollution can be reduced.

  1. Stop listening to loud blaring music by toning down the volume of loudspeakers.
  2. Plant more trees, as trees act as natural barriers to noise.
  3. While in traffic, the unnecessary blaring of horns should be avoided.
  4. Carpets and curtains can be used to absorb the excess sound that is produced by electronic gadgets.
