How does nutrition takes place in our body?

We eat food containing nutrients like proteins,carbohydrates,fats and other vitamins and minerals.
The food we eat gets digested properly.
Digestion is a long process which starts right from the mouth,all the way through the stomach and small intestine.
When the food is broken down into elementary nutrients, They are absorbed into the blood.The leftover is thrown out as excreta.
The blood circulates all through the body and distributes these nutrients wherever necessary.
