CH2=CH2+O32CH2O+H2O2
(ii) Moist iodide ion is oxidized to iodine.
2KI+H2O+O32KOH+I2+O2
(iii) Mercury reacts with ozone to form an oxide. Meniscus of mercury is lost and mercurous oxide sticks to the glass. It is known as tailing of mercury.
On shaking with water, the meniscus is restored.
2Hg+O3Hg2O+O2
(iv) Ag reacts with ozone to form silver oxide.
