1. The life cycle of Plasmodium requires two hosts: human and female Anopheles sp.
2. When a malaria-infected female Anopheles mosquito bites a human, it injects the sporozoites stage of Plasmodium via saliva into the human host.
3. They undergo development in erythrocytes and liver cells developing into further stages.
