How does presence or absence of membrane bound organelles affect the cell and overall organism?

Membrane bound organells will divide the cell in to compartments.They have a distinct nucleus with in which DNA is present.DNA replication occurs with in nucleus,cell respiration occurs with mitochondria.In cells without a membrane bound organells, all activities occur with in cytoplasm.There is no compartmentalisation of the cell.
