The nature of land gives shape to different vegetation.Plain areas are mostly fertile and leads to the growth of varied types of food crops. Rugged terrain and hilly regions have valleys which become home for different species and habitats. b. Similarly, soil also determines the flora and fauna of a region. Desert areas and sandy soil supports cactus and thorny bushes whereas marshy lands, deltas and swamps are suitable for mangroves.
