Question

How does reproduction takes place in humans?

Open in App
Solution

Dear student,
The reproduction process in human beings involves the transfer of the male gametes or sperms from the male reproductive system to the female body or reproductive tract to fuse the sperms with the ovum or egg cell. The sperm released inside the vagina of the female body moves to the fallopian tube or oviducts for the fertilisation where the sperm fuses with the ovum to form the zygote.

The zygote then implants in the wall of the uterus for nine months and take nourishment from it.

The zygote converts into an embryo and then the fully developed foetus is formed.
