If $x=1$
$1\times {10}^1=10$
If $x=15$
$1.5\times {10}^1$ or just $1.5\times 10$
for numbers with more than one digit, in scientific notation the first number is a whole number while the rest are in the decimal system. e.g. $100$ becomes $1.00$ or just $1.$
