Although there are no confirmed reports, it is widely believed that Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose died in an air crash on 18^th August 1945 in present day Taiwan. Some say he survived the crash and lived till old age in hiding.

Some say that Bose died in a Taihoku Military Hospital on the August 18, 1945. The cause of death was believed to be heart failure resulting from multiple burns and shock.
