Question

How does Temperature affect Equilibrium Exothermic?

Open in App
Solution

Equilibrium Exothermic Affected by the temperature:

  1. The equilibrium constant is independent of the concentration, this means there is no effect on the equilibrium.
  2. According to Le Chatelier's principle, the value of equilibrium constant value decreases as the temperature increases.
  3. When the value of equilibrium constant value decreases, the reaction will be exothermic reaction.

Thus, as the temperature increase, the equilibrium constant decrease and the reaction will be exothermic.
