Solution

Dear student.

Bark contains lenticels which facilitate the process of gaseous exchange. Lenticels are the lens-shaped small pores on the surface of the stems of woody plants. Lenticels consist of thin walled loosely arranged cells with intercellular spaces for gaseous exchange.
