Solution
Variations:
Variations are the differences that are observed in the members belonging to a single species.
Different reasons can bring variations. Some of them are genetic recombination, minor inaccuracy during the copying of DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid), and mutation.
Reasons explaining variations promote species survival:
Variations help some organisms to get hold of foods, some to live in a certain place where others cannot go, and some to protect themselves from predators. The members of the species that do not obtain these favorable variations, face several obstacles in continuing the struggle for survival and can even get extinct.
For example- Some variants of bacteria can survive the hot climate, In case their habitat suddenly becomes exposed to heatwaves, the bacteria having the ability to withstand heat will survive and the ones that cannot withstand heat will not survive.
