Solution
Peptide Bond formation:
The α-nitrogen atom of one amino acid and the carbonyl carbon of another form a peptide link, also known as an amide bond.
The amino and carboxyl groups of consecutive amino acids form a peptide bond.
At the molecular level, a peptide bond is created through a dehydration synthesis or reaction.
The dehydration synthesis brings two amino acids together to form a peptide link.
One of the amino acids gives the reaction a carboxyl group while losing a hydroxyl group during the process.
