Dear student,
The Indian constitution describes the institutional arrangement in a very legal language. Since it is in the legal language, it is quite difficult to understand it for the first time. But the basic part of the institutional design is not very difficult to understand. The Indian constitution contains the procedure to be followed while choosing the person who will govern the country. It defines who will have how much power to make the decisions. It also provides some rights to the citizens that cannot be violated to put control over the government.
