Solution
The frequency of Audible sound is between 20 Hz and 20,000 Hz.
Ultrasound or Ultrasonic waves have a frequency of more than 20,000 Hz that is they have very high frequencies due to which the penetration of Ultrasound is more than that of normal sound.
Therefore high-frequency ultrasound has greater energy than ordinary sound waves, hence greater penetrating power because penetrating power depends upon the energy of the wave.
