How does the presence of alkyl group on the terminal position of the cross linking silicone leads to its hydrophobic in nature

Alkyl groups are hydrophobic in nature. If they are present at the terminal position, then due to their hydrophobic nature they will repel water and therefore makes the silicone hydrophobic in nature.
