How does wax forms in human ears? Why

Open in App
Solution

The external ear consists of two parts, namely the pinna and the auditory canal leading to the tympanum or the eardrum. The auditory canal is lined by wax secreting glands called the ceruminous glands which secrete ear wax or cerumen. The wax aids in cleaning the passage, lubrication and also protection against microbes.
