From the above figure,

Area under v-t graph gives displacement.

Area of ΔABC=12×2×8=8m

Area of square ABMX

=(side)2

=(8)2

=64m2

Area of ΔBDC=12×2×4=4m2

Area of rectangle MNCD=2×4=8m2

Area of square NQPC

=(4)2

=16m2

So, the displacement is

s=64+8+4+8+16

s=100m
