Filter paper is folded in the following steps:

1. Take a round piece of filter paper and fold it in half.
2. Refold the half-folded filter paper.
3. After the filter paper is twice folded, it forms a hollow cone and is fitted into a glass funnel that can be used for filtration.

A little moisture is applied to this cone to enable it to stick to the glass funnel.
