How greenhouse effect is responsible for global warming?

Solution

Greenhouse Effects of Global Warming:

  1. The greenhouse effect is a natural mechanism that helps to keep the earth's temperature stable.
  2. When the sun's rays hit the Earth's surface, 30% of the energy is reflected back into space.
  3. The atmosphere absorbs a whopping 21% of this energy. The remaining solar energy is absorbed by the oceans, plants, and other living things.
  4. Year after year, records for the longest heatwaves have been broken, threatening the sustainability of people and all kinds of life on Earth.
  5. Temperature rises are melting glaciers and ice caps. This melting ice increases the volume of water in the seas, causing sea levels to rise.
  6. As a result of global warming, extreme weather events such as cyclones, droughts, and floods are becoming more common and intense. So far, the seas have absorbed the majority of the additional heat and carbon dioxide.
  7. Global warming is warming and acidifying the oceans more than the atmosphere.
  8. This is a hazard to marine ecosystems.
  9. Reduced rainfall and increasingly severe droughts may result in a water crisis.
  10. High temperatures and humidity may also result in an increase in mosquito-borne infections.
