  2. While Specific Heat capacity is the energy required to raise the temperature of a 1kg substance by one degree. Denoted by c.
  3. Specific heat and Heat capacity is related by the following relation Q=mcΔT where T is temperature, m is mass of the substance, Q is heat capacity and c is the specific heat capacity.
  4. If we substitute m=1 and T=1 then Q=c
  5. Therefore, cis the heat change involved in the change of unit temperature in unit mass substance.
