How 'internal check' differs from 'internal audit'?

Open in App
Solution

Both internal check and internal audit are methods of internal control. However, they differ from each other. Internal check is cross checking by the clerical staff of each other's work. Whereas internal audit is canned out by a separate salaried staff of internal auditors.
