How is a farm labourer different from farmers?

Farmers are the person who are engaged in agricultural activities on a piece of land. They may/ may not be the owners of the land. Farmers hire farm labourers to work on the land to cultivate the crops for daily/weekly/monthly wage. Hence, farmers are deemed to be the owners of the land and farm labourers are the persons who are hired by the farmers to work on their land.
