Solution
The voices of men and women are different. This is due to the differences in the length of the vocal cord.
The vocal cord for men is thicker when compared to women so the frequency of men is lesser than the frequency of women.
A woman’s voice has a higher frequency than a man’s voice.
Higher is the frequency, higher is the pitch and hence, shriller is the sound.
Thus, a woman’s voice is usually shriller than a man’s voice. In the case of a man’s voice, the pitch is usually low and therefore the sound is flat or grave.
