how is cycas a living fossil??

Shivani and Kshitij are right..Most of the plants forms have evolved to new types of plants but Cycas is among those plants which is from mesozoic era and still present today, largely same i.e. unchanged. Even there are records of its fossils..but living form is also present at the same time.
