How is diapause different from hibernation?

Diapause is a stage of suspended development that some organisms like zooplanktons in lakes and ponds, adopt to survive under unfavourable conditions.

Hibernation is just a behavioural adaption to avoid extreme cold when an organisms slows down its metabolic activities but does not suspends it.
