Solution

Instructions:

  • Define Isopleth method(1M).
  • List out 3 examples of isopleths drawn(1M).
  • List out three conclusions(3M)

Solution :

  • Isopleth method is the method in which geographical facts and values are shown by drawing the lines representing equal values on a map.
  • Some frequently drawn isopleths are contours, isobars, isohyets etc.
  • The following conclusions are drawn from isopleth maps:
    • If the lines are closer to each other then the change in the variable is steep
    • If the lines are away from each other, then it is gentle.
    • We also get an idea of the natural trend of the distribution of the variable with the help of this map.
