Glacial acetic acid is different from the acetic acid which is supplied in laboratory, as the glacial acetic acid is 100 % water free acid or anhydrous acid while the acid we use in labs are diluted. The "Glacial" name is a trivial name which is given because at it appears like ice-crystals at below room temperature.
