Question

How is movement in a snake related to the flexibility of its backbone? Is this also true for humans?

Open in App
Solution

The flexible backbone of the snake allows snake to curve its body into different loops. Every loop creates a forward push against the ground and help in the movement of snake. The flexibility of backbone is not entirely related to the movement of humans. This is because most of the movements in humans is controlled by the action of lower limbs.
