How is nitrobenzene converted to aniline
Conversion of Nitrobenzene to Aniline:-
Step 1: Formation of Aniline
When Nitrobenzene is reacted with an active metal like Tin(Sn) and concentrated Hydrochloric acid, it produces Aniline. This reaction is also called Nitrobenzene reduction.
This conversion of nitrobenzene to Aniline is a one-step reaction.
Therefore, Nitrobenzene is reacted with Tin and concentrated Hydrochloric acid which produces Aniline.
