Dear Student
The Indian Constitution one of the world’s lengthiest Constitution is also called a living document because it can be amended or changed at any point of time when needed.
The living document is a document that is dynamic and evergreen in nature.
The Indian Constitution accepts the necessity of amendments according to changing needs of the society.
We all know that India as a nation grows fast, so the need of the people and aspirations of the people change dynamically. So that is why our Constitution is not rigid nor more flexible and not static means it can be amended and changed over the period of time according to the needs and requirements of the society. SO that is why the Indian Constitution has been amended more than 100 times till now, makes it a living document.
