The use of Potassium Permanganate to cure fungal infection:

  • Potassium permanganate is an inorganic salt that containsK+andMnO-, salt that has an intense purple color in the solution. The chemical Potassium Permanganate KMnO4 is prepared when potassium hydroxide is treated with a powder of manganese oxide.
  • It is a good oxidizing agent and anti-fungal agent too. The solution formed is used to cure fungal infections like acne, eczema, and many other skin infection.
  • It stops the growth and multiplication of fungus cells and thus cells used in anti-fungal medications. It kills the germs present on the skin and releases oxygen.

Thus, Potassium Permanganate is used to cure fungal infection.
