Question

How is silk made?

Open in App
Solution

Silkworms make cocoons from silk threads (it's within them like spiders have the thread to make their webs), people harvest the worms when they are in the cocoons and boil them in hot water. Due to boiling the silk thread unravels. People collect the thread, wrap it around a spool, and sew it together to make the fabric.
