Solution

The primary and secondary sectors produce goods. The primary sector produces agricultural goods and the secondary sector produces manufactured goods. On the other hand, the tertiary sector produces services. This is the main difference between the tertiary sector and the other two sectors.

The tertiary sector has grown rapidly in India in recent times because the secondary sector has been slow to develop. As a result, the excess workers in the primary sector have had to be absorbed in the tertiary sector.
