How is the amplification of gene sample of interest carried out using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) ?

Solution
The polymerase chain reaction is used to reproduce selected sections of DNA or RNA for analysis. Previously, amplification of DNA involved cloning the segments of interest into vectors for expression in bacteria.
The three steps are used for amplification
1. Denaturing - When the double-stranded template DNA is heated to separate it into two single strands.
2.Annealing - When the temperature is lowered to enable the DNA primers to attach to the template DNA
3.Extension - Polymerisation of nucleotide chain by the enzyme. Taq polymerase using the nucleotides provided in the medium.
