Climate of a place is affected by its distance from the sea. The places close to the sea (coastal regions) are cooler and more humid than inland regions because the wind blowing from the sea towards the land brings a lot of moisture with it. On the other hand, Inland areas are hotter and drier because most of the moisture evaporates before it reaches the inland regions.
