Open in App
Solution

Length of the DNA:

  1. DNA is a double helical structure made up of two polynucleotide chains that are linked by hydrogen bonds produced between two nitrogenous bases known as base pairs.
  2. The distance between two base pairs is 0.34 nanometers (nanometer).
  3. It's usually measured in nucleotides (or base pairs).
  4. We can quickly determine the length of DNA by multiplying the total number of base pairs by 0.34nm.
