To balance a nuclear equation, the mass number and atomic numbers of all particles on either side of the arrow must be equal. A balanced nuclear reaction equation indicates that there is a rearrangement during a nuclear reaction, but of substance particles rather than atoms. Nuclear reactions follow conservation law.
