Solution
Sex determination in birds
Birds exhibit female heterogamety, which means that the females determine the sex by having distinct types of chromosomes.
In contrast to females, who have two ZW chromosomes, males have two ZZ chromosomes that are similar to one another.
The Z and W chromosomes represent the sex chromosomes.
While ZZ is men and the Z chromosome is present in all the sperms, ZW is females and after meiosis, the Z chromosome is present in half of the eggs and W in the other half.
