  3. The male has one X chromosome and one Y chromosome.
  4. This means that half the male gametes or half the sperms will have X chromosomes, and the other half will have Y chromosomes.
  5. A female has two X chromosomes.
  6. This means that all the female gametes called ova or eggs will have only X chromosomes.
  7. XY chromosome represents male while XX chromosome represents female.
