Solution
Solubility is the maximum amount of substance that will dissolve in a given amount of solvent at a specific temperature.
The solubility of gases in liquid that is water decreases if there is a rise in temperature. As temperature increases, there is an increase in kinetic energy which causes more motion in the gas molecule which breaks intermolecular bonds and escapes from the solution. Hence the solubility decreases with an increase in temperature.
If there is an increase in pressure the gas molecule in the solute compress and makes more space for additional gas molecules. Hence as pressure increases the solubility of gases in water also increases.
