Solution

It is stored after the dam is constructed across a river or far away from a river. The beginning takes place with the construction across a river which in turn is used to create a reservoir in the valley behind by storing the water. The water then flows into it naturally. The engineers create a design by which Small rivers and streams are usually diverted through a tunnel, or a channel that is constructed around the side of the dam.
