How is work related to applied force?

Open in App
Solution

  1. Work is said to be done when a force produces a displacement in the body and acts in any direction except perpendicular to the direction of displacement.
  2. Work is the product of force and displacement.
  3. The relation between Work and Force is:

Work=Force×displacementW=F×s

4. Hence, if there is no force there will be no work.

Hence, without force work cannot be done.
