Preparation of $XeO{F}_4$-

It can be prepared using $Xe{F}_6$. The partial hydrolysis of $Xe{F}_6$ gives $XeO{F}_4$.

$Xe{F}_6+H_{2}O⟶XeO{F}_4+2HF$

$XeO{F}_4$ has octahedral geometry due to $s{p}^3{d}^2$ hybridisation. One trans position is occupied by a lone pair giving pyramid shape to the molecule. Hence the molecular shape of $XeO{F}_4$ is square pyramidal.
