Open in App
Solution

Zinc:

  1. Zinc (Zn) is an essential micronutrient for all plants and animals.
  2. Zinc is available to absorb in the divalent form.
  3. It is difficult for plants to take up zinc if the pH of the soil increases and the soil becomes alkaline.
  4. Because of that zinc converts into zinc phosphate in soil which is insoluble and they are unavailable to the plants.
  5. Zinc is essential to synthesize tryptophan amino acids that form IAA.
  6. Their deficiency causes chlorosis of old leaves.
