The use of land is determined by physical factors like climate, topography, soil type and fertility. Depending on this land is used for agriculture and production.

Similarly, use of land is determined by human factors as some areas of land may be used by man for building industries , factories, market , human habitation etc.As all land may not be suitable for production depending on the fertility of soil and location of land.
