Development of morula from zygote:

  1. Zygote refers to the fertilized egg formed from the union of the egg with the sperm.
  2. It is the first stage in the development of offspring.
  3. Morula is the early embryo that consists of 16 cells known as blastomeres which are contained with zona pellucida.
  4. The zygote divides by subsequent cleavage of cells and it takes up to 3-4 days for it to achieve the morula stage.
